Book Week

Book Week at Heaton Public School is an annual celebration that brings together students, teachers, and families to enjoy reading. The week features storytelling, creative activities, a dress-up day, and a book fair, all designed to inspire imagination and a love of books. It promotes curiosity, confidence, and literacy, helping children develop empathy, language skills, and a lifelong passion for learning through stories.

Harmony Day

Heaton Public School celebrates its rich multicultural heritage and diverse community, ensuring every child feels valued and connected. Our inclusive culture fosters respect, empathy, and belonging among students, enriching the whole school. Harmony Day is where the school community unites to share stories, food, and music, promoting cultural celebration, friendship, and stronger community bonds.

NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week celebrations at Heaton Public School commenced with a captivating dance performance by our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, celebrating their academic and cultural achievements and honouring culture and country. All students and staff engaged in storytelling while exploring many hands-on activities.

It was a meaningful week of learning, connection, and celebration of Indigenous cultures.
